Leak claims GTA 6 could be delayed
With Rockstar Games possibly focused on a secret medieval-themed project, GTA 6 might not go on the floors anytime soon, as per a new leak.
GTA fans have been waiting for years to get their hands on Grand Theft Auto 6, so they can create different GTA 6 mods.
However, the fans might be in for some bad news as a new leak has indicated that the game has been put in the backburner for now and that an open-world medieval-themed game is being developed by Rockstar Games. This was indicated by a post on the GamingLeaksandRumors subreddit, which has a reputation of being packed with true as well as false information.
The unnamed game in question will likely have dueling and sword fighting aspects in it and might be rolled out during the winter or spring of 2021.
Although this news might sound incorrect to many (as Rockstar Games has stayed away from the medieval setting until now), there is a LinkedIn post dated back to November 18 hinting at a possible medieval project. The post was made from the profile of an Indian developer at Dhruva Interactive (a part of Rockstar).
The environmental artist that was being sought through that post was required to be responsible for “Creating modular environment pieces with organic finish carefully following medieval architecture Style”.
However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Rockstar has yet to issue an announcement regarding GTA 6, so its release date shouldn’t even be brought up yet. There is a rumor going around that a potential GTA 6 announcement is being saved for the upcoming PlayStation awards or PlayStation 5 pre-order bundle. So for people looking forward to play GTA 6 or create Grand Theft Auto 6 mods, it’s better to let time answer their questions.
