GTA 6 Teaser in GTA Online Sparks Concern Over Return of Disliked Feature
As anticipation builds for Rockstar’s next GTA 6 trailer, new rumors have emerged about a controversial feature in the game. It’s been seven months since the first GTA 6 trailer debuted, with no word on a release date or additional details.
The extended wait has left fans eager for more, as shown by a recent update in GTA Online. Reddit users noticed that a necklace from the GTA 6 trailer has been added to GTA Online in the Bottom Dollar Bounties update. According to Reddit user DogWifDreads, the ‘silver layered necklace’ can now be bought at Ponsonbys, an in-game fashion retailer. The necklace was originally seen on a bikini-clad character by a rooftop pool in the trailer.
While this might just be a minor Easter egg, it has led to speculation. Some fans believe the necklace’s price might hint at GTA 6’s release date, though this seems unlikely given the in-game price of around $30,000. Additionally, fans have found similar necklaces online for those wanting to cosplay as the character from the trailer.
GTA fans have also discovered potential evidence that the dynamic body mechanic from GTA: San Andreas could return in GTA 6. This feature allowed protagonist CJ’s weight to change based on his diet and exercise. According to fan account GTA 6 Countdown, characters Jason and Lucia in the trailer appear to have different body types in various scenes. Prior leaks also mentioned the inclusion of gyms in the game. While maintaining fitness in San Andreas was tedious, there could be other explanations for the characters’ changing body sizes, such as customization options or a time skip in the storyline.
