GTA 6 Storyline Leak: Legit Details Confirmed!
A well-known GTA 6 fan account on X (formerly Twitter) is claiming that some of the story details and features it previously leaked have now been “confirmed.”
The account, @GTAVI_Countdown, which currently has over 183,000 followers, regularly shares news, rumors, and leaks about GTA 6 and Rockstar Games.
In September, @GTAVI_Countdown reposted information shared by YouTuber LegacyKillaHD, who discussed various rumors about GTA 6’s story mode and gameplay. These rumored details included the following:
- Lucia, a central character in the story
- Separate intro missions for Lucia and Jason
- A more grounded narrative focused on criminal struggles and family dynamics
- A shorter story compared to Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), but with lots of side content
- Fast and Furious-style missions, including a vault heist
- Corrupt cops, multiple locations, and gameplay elements reminiscent of RDR2
While these rumors have yet to be publicly confirmed by Rockstar, @GTAVI_Countdown insists they are legitimate. According to the account, the leaks were “pretty much confirmed” when Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, issued a DMCA takedown against them.
For context, the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) allows companies to request the removal of copyright-infringing content, especially online. This takedown action adds weight to the belief that the information may be genuine.
Another YouTuber, Cyber Boi, had a similar experience. He posted a video discussing the leaks, which was also reportedly taken down by Take-Two, resulting in a strike against his channel. Cyber Boi claims that any accounts sharing these leaks are being targeted by Take-Two.
This leak has been pretty much confirmed, as we just received a DMCA takedown from Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two. https://t.co/sxrlKzPT0w

As for the official release of GTA 6, Take-Two confirmed in a recent annual report that the game is still on track for a Fall 2025 release. This confirmation came during a shareholder meeting and reaffirms the planned timeline mentioned earlier this year.
The only trailer for GTA 6 dropped in December 2023, with Rockstar stating at the time that the game would release sometime in 2025. During Take-Two’s May earnings call, the release window was narrowed down to Fall 2025, and the company confirmed this schedule again during their August earnings call.
Meanwhile, Rockstar is preparing for the next phase of GTA 6’s promotion, having recently posted a job listing for a “Screenshot Capture Artist” an indication that the marketing campaign for the game may begin soon.
